MY EDUCATION
My education started with kinder garten class from my city. My city Rampur has been blessed with a good education system consisting a number of high schools, inter colleges and degree colleges. Besides, there are industrial training institute, teachers' training college and various mmiddle schools. During my time there was only one english medium school, "St. Mary's Higher Secondary School" which was a co-educated and the only so called convent school, which has now been limited to only girls. The school was run by missionaries. Recently many engllish medium schools have come up in the town. To name a few are St. Paul's School, Dayawati Modi Academy, Greenwood School, Central School etc.

High School
As mentioned above I passed my high school from St. Mary's Higher Secondary School now called St. Mary's Senior Secondary School run as per C.B.S.E. pattern. I was admitted in teh kinder garten class, and thus started my school career. It was, perhaps, the most remembrable period of my sudent life as I spent full ten years in that school from K.G. to high school. Since my result was excellent from the beginning, I was given a double promotion from Vth class to VIIth class, the only example in the school till date.
Even today I remember some of the popular teachers of the school like Mrs. Qaiser (art), Mrs, Daaga(hindi), Mr. Badar Ahmed(biology), Mr. Khursheed Ahmed(maths), Mrs. Kaul, Mrs. Khan. A few of the sisters(nuns) like Sr. Teresina, Sr. Silvia, Sr. Rose (she was the person who recommended for double promotion). The strength of my class in high school was only 17 students which has now increased to four section consisting spproximately 50-60 students in each section.
One portion of the school consisted of building, another a play ground and a third portion was having mango trees which has been converted into building.. The play ground still exists.

About Aligarh Muslim University
In 1875, Sir Syed founded the Muhammadan Anglo Oriental College in Aligarh and patterned the college after Oxford and Cambridge universities that he had visited on a trip to England. His objective was to build a college in tune with the British education system but without compromising its Islamic values.
The college was originally affiliated with Calcutta University, and was transferred to the Allahaba University in 1885.It was also around this time that a movement began to have it develop into a university to stand on its own. To achieve this goal, many expansions were made with more and more programs added to the curriculum. A school for girls was established in 1907. By 1921(exact year 1920, the College was transformed into a university, and it was named Muslim University. Its growth continued. The first chancellor of the university was a female, Sultan Shah Jahan Begum. In 1927, a school for the blind was established, and the following year, a Medical School was attached to the university. By the end of the 1930s, the university had also developed its Engineering faculty.

SIR SYED AHMAD KHAN( FOUNDER OF ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY)
Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Bahadur, GCSI (Urdu:October 17, 1817 – March 27, 1898), commonly known as Sir Syed, was an Indian educator and politician who pioneered modern education for the Muslim community in India by founding the Muhammedan Anglo-Oriental College, which later developed into the Aligarh Muslim University. His work gave rise to a new generation of Muslim intellectuals and politicians who composed the Aligarh movement to secure the political future of Muslims in India.
Born into Mughal nobility, Sir Syed earned a reputation as a distinguished scholar while working as a jurist for the British East India Company. Personally affected by the turmoil of the Indian rebellion of 1857, he penned the booklet Asbab-e-Bhaghawath-e-Hind (The Causes of the Indian Mutiny) — a daring critique, at the time, of British policies that he blamed for causing the revolt. Believing that the future of Muslims was threatened by their orthodox nature and outlook, Sir Syed began promoting Western-style scientific education by founding modern schools and journals and organizing Muslim intellectuals. Towards this goal, Sir Syed founded the Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875 with the aim of promoting social and economic development of Indian Muslims.

Intermediate
After passing my high school, I planned to go for intermediate (I had other option to join some professional course). At that time there was no intermediate college in Rampur with english as medium of teaching, so I proceeded to Bareilly. One other reason for it was that my father was also transferred there as Octroi Superintendent in the Municipal Corporation.
Bareilly has good english medium schools and colleges, and I was lucky to get admission in one of them, perhaps the best and reputed college, “HARTMANN COLLEGE”. Thus started another college. I spent two memorable years in that college and passed out my intermediate (ISC) in 1981. The college is run on the pattern of ICSE/ISC pattern. The college is situated on the outskirts of Bareilly, a place called Izatnagar.
I can still remember some teachers like Mr. Pandey (my class teacher), Mr. Author Massey(English), Mr. Luke(English), Mr. Varma(physics), Mr. Saxena(maths), Mr. Joshi(chemistry). Finally is the most rememberable figure of the college, the principal Father Arnold, a disciplined and a very simple but daring figure of the institution. Even today I admire him whenever I remember the college.

AUTOCAD
Computer aided designing or commonly known as Autocad is a very interesting subject dealing with designing related to various brances of engineering. I have a great liking for it and made up my mind to go for it. I have done autocad in 2D and 3D. One thing is sure that it requires lot of practice on a regular basis. Here are some first drawing which I have made. You can have a look at them and give your comments.
"HE WHO LOVES KNOWLEDGE LOVES DISCIPLINE" says the logo of the college.
Graduation (Engineering)
After passing out my intermediate from Hartmann College, I planned to go for engineering. One thing which I want to tell you is that it was one of my aspirations from my very childhood to become an engineer and that too mechanical. It was by God's grace that I appeared in teh competition and succeeded in the first attempt. Another interesting thing about my selection is that I got the mechanical stream which was my only choice. During that time (in 1980s) almost 90% students used to opt for civil. Since seats in teh civil were limited so they used to get either mechanical, chemical or electrical. I was lucky in that sense.
So started my engineering career. I tell you a very interesting thing about Aligarh Muslim University from where I passed my engineering. There is a famous saying abut AMU that any student comes in the university comes crying and leaves the university (after passing out) goes crying. The reason is that when a new enterant comes, he faces lot of problems including introduction of being a fresher and he literally cries. After spending time time in the university and studyinmg there he develops a very very deep affection with it and the culture there that he, in fact, does not want to leave it but has to do it.
